my story
For years after school, I was too overwhelmed to make art—I was busy working as a preschool teacher, and creativity took a backseat. When I finally picked up a pen again, I realized I needed boundaries to help me find my way back. Limiting myself to black and white is a restriction, yes, but it has given me a space in which I can easily express myself. For me, art is a way to process reality through imagination—just like kids do when they play. They create their own worlds to make sense of the one around them, and I’m doing the same thing.
